Free web hosting is included with your Gateway Student Server account. Every Gateway student has their own web space and their own web address. Each student's web address is formed like so: http://student.gwhs.org/~username/, where username is the same username you use to login to the Student Server. The username is the first letter of your first name followed by the first seven letters of your last name. Don't forget the tilde (~) before your username!

Inside of your Student Server network folder is a sub-folder labeled "Sites." The Sites folder is where you put the.html files that you want to posted on the Internet. In order to have a "homepage" you need to save your homepage as "index.html." The Student Server looks for the file named "index.html" and posts that file as your homepage. Remember, whatever you host on the Student Server must be appropriate and inline with the Acceptable Use Policy.
