Gateway offers Project Week to our students each January. The Gateway Project Week is designed to have our students focus in on one particular aspect or topic for an extended period of time. During Project Week students attend one “mini-course” for an eight-day period. These courses range in subjects from “The Physics of Sledding,” "Video Game Design," "Martial Arts," "Stretch Your Borders," "Video Shorts," "Know your Rights," "Instrumental Music," and more. The students are extremely enthusiastic about Project Week and some of its most passionate advocates are those students who have to work the hardest to succeed in a more traditional, 5-course school day. The final work product for all courses is displayed and/or presented in what has come to be called the Gator Gala -- a day in which students exhibit their own work and examine the work of their peers.
