Welcome to the Gateway High School Math Department!  The math department offers a wide range of courses, from SAT Prep to Algebra to Multivariable Calculus. The charismatic mathematics teachers at Gateway High School are committed to helping students understand, enjoy, and use mathematics not only in school, but also in their daily lives and hopefully into their futures.  To ensure this, we not only try to provide the highest quality instruction possible, but we also offer an individualized tutoring program four afternoons each week to supplement what is taught in class.  We also hope the links provided on our website will be a useful resource for students for help with homework, study skills, and topics of interest in the math world.

MATH TUTORING

Math tutoring is offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in room 112 from 3:35 until 5:30.  The math teachers as well as outside tutors will staff the after school tutorial program. Students can drop in any time whenever they want extra help on homework, test preparation, or reviewing specific math topics.  Students do not need to notify their math teacher ahead of time.  If you want to contact the department to schedule regular tutoring or to discuss any other tutoring issues you can email Ms. Roeser, the Math Tutoring Coordinator.
