The Gateway curriculum provides each student with a rigorous and broad college preparatory education. The curriculum emphasizes acquiring knowledge and mastering skills in a broad range of disciplines - the sciences, literature, history, the arts, languages, mathematics, and physical development. In addition to the required academic courses, students are offered the opportunity for Advanced Placement work, a strong program in performing and visual arts, as well as access to and instruction in cutting edge technology.
At the core of the Gateway philosophy is a commitment to know our students well. Through our individualized approach to teaching and learning we foster an environment for each student to reach his or her potential. The Gateway Learning Center, tutorials, labs, and independent study projects are additional programs that build each student's strengths and skills.
The Gateway curricular program aims to prepare students both for academic excellence in college and for lives which demonstrate integrity, responsibility, intellectual curiosity, and respect for a culturally diverse world. An exellent example of such work includes the 2008 Humanities 9 Religion Project.
