Principal's Welcome

Welcome back families,

After transitioning into the Principal role last January, I have appreciated the relative calm of summer to gear up for the new school year. We are looking forward to working together to build on last year’s success.

It has been a summer of change and growth for Gateway High School:

Most notably (and happily) we are now part of Gateway Public Schools as we officially opened Gateway Middle School this fall. Here at the high school we are excited to begin this partnership that will enable us to reach more students and families here in San Francisco. 

Throughout this summer our campus has been a major construction site. Due to a school bond measure, SFUSD has been working on our building to make our campus physically accessible to all of our students and visitors. In short, the building will be safer, brighter, and accessible to all.

Earlier this spring, we began work on a major overhaul of our school website. In addition to a fresher look, we’ve designed a site that is a more useful tool for students and families alike. We’re hoping that the new features will facilitate more opportunities for our whole school community to interact with one another.
