Gateway is where all my dreams began.

- Cristal Rodriguez, Gateway High School Class of 2002, Brown University Class of 2006

The influence of Gateway is incredible, they push you to become something great. They give you a lot of attention with their small class sizes.

- Anthony Rodriguez, Gateway High School Class of 2007, UC Berkeley Class of 2011

Gateway has helped me grow into the woman I am today. I am independent and intellectual. I am thoughtful and strong. I am creative and resilient. Because of the teachers’ firm belief in their students, I was given the support and encouragement to reach for the stars in whatever I do.

- Kate Elliott, Gateway High School Class of 2009, Bryn Mawr College Class of 2013

Gateway does a great job of creating balance between valuing excellence and supporting individuality. It’s rare to find a school where kids can so be themselves. As faculty, we try to foster a love of learning in our students.

– Becca Wieder, Humanities Teacher

I dream of winning the Mission Award at Gateway High School and then going to Harvard University. At Gateway the teachers are extremely dedicated and so helpful in every way, and this is helping me go for my big dream.

- Giovanni, Gateway High School Class of 2014

Gateway High School is excited to offer students a free coding class through Mission Bit, an organization that aims to eliminate the tech divide in San Francisco by building computer programming and professional opportunity pathways for public school students.
College planning begins early at Gateway Public Schools and today the class of 2019 visited the UC Berkeley campus. Every year Gateway hosts its annual freshman orientation at a local college campus as a way of instilling college bound expectations among students right from the start of school.
Gateway's High School gym recently received a makeover from interns at Kabam who volunteered to paint the gym and blacktop through HandsOn Bay Area, a San Francisco based organization that creates volunteer opportunities between companies and local nonprofits
